Service Desk Technician/Service Desk Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Desk Technician/Service Desk Analyst to join our team at Sharp Decisions. As a key member of our IT support team, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees, ensuring that our systems and infrastructure are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and assistance to employees via phone, email, and in-person
  • Identify and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, software, and hardware
  • Collaborate with internal support groups and external service providers to resolve complex technical issues
  • Develop and implement new solutions and ideas to improve technical support processes
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members
  • Participate in beta-testing of new applications and technologies
  • Recommend process improvements and technology changes to enhance technical support
  • Communicate technical issues and incidents to all levels of the organization
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures
  • Implement and monitor security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and information

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 2-5 years of related experience in technical support or a related field
  • Expertise in IT infrastructure platforms, operating systems, tools, monitoring, and concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
