Production Systems Engineer

The role of the Manufacturing Process Engineer is pivotal in facilitating the effective initiation of a new production facility. Key responsibilities encompass strategizing, overseeing, and synchronizing both internal and external workflows within the manufacturing environment.
Effective material management is vital during the initial phases, playing a significant role in the foundation of the organization. This position entails the refinement and enhancement of operational standards and methodologies for upcoming projects. Once established, material management guarantees the timely availability of resources at optimal cost and quality. Collaboration with various departments, management of resources, and engagement with stakeholders are critical components of this position.
The organization, MOBIS North America electrified Powertrain LLC (MNAe), serves as a Tier 1 supplier specializing in BSA and PE systems for electric vehicles, employing advanced manufacturing technologies pertinent to battery system assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics strategy development, which includes enhancing material flow techniques, assessing workforce efficiency, designing equipment layouts, partnering with suppliers, and pinpointing process inefficiencies for potential cost reductions.
Essential Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering is preferred, alongside 2-4 years of experience in continuous improvement methodologies, Lean Manufacturing practices, capacity analysis, problem resolution, and JIT assembly settings. Experience in automotive parts assembly is advantageous.
Desired Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficiency in designing and refining material flow systems.
- Understanding of warehouse management concepts, including FIFO and Kanban methodologies.
Work Environment:
This position is primarily office-based, involving some mobility and standing. Occasional domestic and international travel may be necessary.
