We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at C&H Precision (CHPWS). As a key member of our design and manufacturing team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of precision machining solutions for our clients in the firearms industry.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Design and create 3D models for new products, as well as drawings and CNC programs, to meet the specific needs of our clients.
- Manufacturing Process Improvement: Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria, such as efficiency and manufacturability, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and maximize quality.
- Equipment Management: Identify production equipment needs and develop ideas and methods for cycle time improvement, ensuring maximum efficiency in our manufacturing workflows.
- Quality Control: Ensure that manufactured products meet specifications and quality standards, and collaborate with the QA department to establish quality and reliability objectives.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow engineers and designers to identify and resolve problems, and contribute to the development of new products and processes.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on precision machining and manufacturing.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication and technical writing skills, and a solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in CAD/CAM software, such as Fusion 360, and experience with CNC programming and machining.
