Position Overview

The Applications Support Analyst II is responsible for the enhancement, support, and maintenance of applications. This role involves coordinating the analysis and development of new features, building, testing, and implementing these functionalities, as well as managing maintenance updates and fixes. The analyst will review and execute scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, analyze and diagnose system and process modifications, and ensure compliance with change management protocols. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on assigned project teams, the analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize system functionality and configure new tools. Responsibilities also include creating and maintaining test scripts, developing, planning, and executing testing for supported applications, and ensuring project deadlines are consistently met while addressing any issues that may arise.

Qualifications

Experience: A general understanding of clinical workflows is preferred, along with experience working with Epic SER. Candidates should possess 3-5 years of relevant clinical, certification, and/or technical experience, demonstrating a proven track record in managing responsibilities outlined in this role.

Education: A high school diploma is required, while a bachelor's degree is preferred. Candidates with 3-5 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Licenses/Certifications: Preferred qualifications include RN, PT, OT, MA, or LPN credentials. Experience in a hospital, medical practice, or health system is also advantageous. Epic Security certification and Epic Provider Maintenance badge are preferred.

Key Skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to effectively convey IT terminology and processes to key stakeholders. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are also critical for success in this role.
