Senior Business Systems Analyst

The Senior Business Systems Analyst will collaborate closely with the Human Resources and Legal divisions to gather and articulate business requirements. This role encompasses conducting Quality Assurance (QA) and overseeing User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for both departments. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will develop comprehensive requirements and generate functional documentation tailored for the HR and Legal teams.
Key Responsibilities and Expertise:
- Gain a thorough understanding of business operations, articulate current and future business models, and foster robust relationships with HR and Legal teams.
- Serve as the primary contact for all QA-related activities during releases, business cycles, and projects, ensuring effective coordination of QA resources both internally and externally.
- Facilitate communication with business stakeholders, IT, and external service providers or vendors.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts.
- Assess the risks associated with various solutions and prioritize conflicting business needs.
- Analyze and propose enhancements to business processes.
- Design and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures, both manual and automated.
- Develop business requirements, functional design documentation, and process flow diagrams.
- Manage issues effectively and drive resolutions.
- Coordinate project delivery by engaging in design reviews and walkthroughs to validate proposed solutions.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with business partners to enhance satisfaction with IT services.
- Ensure compliance with the company's change management protocols, tracking all items through the designated software.
- Monitor vendor performance against established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Understand key inputs from enterprise architecture teams and identify interdependencies among solutions.
- Guarantee operational quality through enhancements, updates, and bug fixes.
- Possess the ability to train end-users, regardless of their experience level, in system usage through both written and verbal communication.
- Experience in the IT domain across at least three of the following areas: Applications Development, Enterprise Architecture, Project Management, Vendor Management, Quality Assurance, Infrastructure, and Maintenance and Support. Proven ability to define, develop, and implement QA practices and procedures, including end-user test plans and other QA assessments.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 6-8 years of relevant experience.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid work model - Remote work available two days per week after an initial period.
- This position does not provide work sponsorship.
