Amazon is looking for a seasoned Senior Financial Analyst to contribute significantly to the Amazon Devices Finance Team. Over the years, Amazon has pioneered several leading-edge, innovative, and rapidly expanding digital and mobile sectors, including Kindle, Fire Tablets, Fire TV, and Echo. This role demands a self-motivated individual with exceptional business modeling expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced setting while acting as a trusted advisor to the business. The candidate must be adept at integrating new methodologies and approaches, including statistical concepts, and capable of formulating and defining critical business inquiries and constructing data sets that provide answers.

This position involves regular collaboration with various business units across Amazon and necessitates robust interpersonal and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute revenue and cost models for incorporation into business assessments.
  • Oversee financial deliverables aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct Financial Planning & Analysis, including both short-term and long-term forecasts.
  • Establish and implement financial and operational performance metrics, highlighting key insights and drivers for senior management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical discipline (e.g., engineering, mathematics, computer science).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in continuous improvement initiatives within your team to enhance controllership with measurable outcomes.
  • MBA or CPA certification.
  • Familiarity with Tableau.
  • Experience with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).

Our compensation reflects the labor costs across various US geographic markets. The base salary for this role ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Compensation is influenced by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on bonuses, and other forms of compensation may be included as part of a comprehensive compensation package, alongside a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
