Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electromechanical Systems Engineer to spearhead a mechanical engineering team dedicated to the development of spaceflight instruments.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Electromechanical Systems Engineer will be responsible for:
  • Engaging in hands-on activities with flight hardware throughout all phases of development, including design, fabrication, testing, qualification, and operational deployment in space.
  • Analyzing control and structural interactions.
  • Evaluating performance metrics in conditions involving jitter.
  • Utilizing advanced modeling techniques for mechanical, electronic, electromechanical, and thermal control systems, employing tools such as MATLAB.
Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics (Master’s degree in Engineering preferred) from an accredited institution, along with at least 12 years of relevant aerospace experience.
  • Proven experience in the design, development, and testing of powered mechanical systems.
  • A valid Secret level Security Clearance.

Compensation

The typical salary range for this position is between $112,000 and $179,000, reflecting the expected compensation based on experience and other relevant factors.
