Lead Electromechanical Systems Engineer

JRC Integrated Systems, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Electromechanical Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our exceptional Maritime & Security Team. This role involves supporting advanced development initiatives for critical defense systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Lead Electromechanical Systems Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Facilitating the integration of advanced missile systems with launch platforms and associated control systems.
- Collaborating with various governmental and contractor teams to ensure seamless integration of air vehicle systems.
- Coordinating design efforts across multiple engineering disciplines, ensuring alignment with Navy specifications and integration standards.
- Leading cross-functional working groups to promote cohesive design efforts and address subsystem integration challenges.
- Overseeing the planning and execution of critical design, integration, testing, and verification processes.
- Contributing to multidisciplinary studies, including modeling and simulation tasks, and presenting findings to senior management.
- Assisting in the formulation of system requirements, specifications, and architectural frameworks.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Science, or a related STEM discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering and design.
- Expertise in missile system design and testing methodologies.
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices.
- An active security clearance at the SECRET level or higher.
- Proficiency in data analytics, including statistical analysis and data visualization.
- Knowledge in aeronautical or mechanical engineering principles.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams to coordinate complex system designs.
- A strong ability to manage priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Capability to simplify complex problems and evaluate potential solutions effectively.
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
- An active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.
- A Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with cruise missile systems.
- Familiarity with NAVAIR Systems Engineering processes.
- Background in weapon system acquisition programs.
- Experience with software tools such as PyCharm, Git, BitBucket, Jira, and Confluence.
