Key Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a highly skilled SENIOR ELECTROMECHANICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER to spearhead a mechanical team dedicated to the development of spaceflight instruments.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in the evaluation and design of spaceflight control systems, which encompasses:
  • Hands-on involvement with flight hardware throughout all phases of development, including design, fabrication, construction, testing, qualification, and operational deployment in space
  • Analysis of control and structural interactions
  • Performance assessment under jitter conditions
  • Proficiency in modeling mechanical, electronic, electromechanical, and thermal control systems utilizing tools such as MATLAB
Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics (Master’s degree in Engineering preferred) from an accredited institution, accompanied by at least 12 years of relevant aerospace experience
  • Proven experience in the design, development, and testing of powered mechanical systems
  • A Secret level Security Clearance

Compensation Range

The typical salary range for this position is between $112,000 and $179,000, reflective of experience and other relevant factors.
