Speech Language Pathologist Job Description

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Huntington Park, California.

Job Summary:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide direct patient care to members with communication and swallowing disorders by evaluating, diagnosing, and developing individualized therapy programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose patients with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to address speech, language, voice, and swallowing impairments
  • Administer diagnostic tests and provide treatment to adults and children with a variety of communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairment, and neurological defects
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide in-service training to healthcare staff and supervise the development and treatment of Speech Pathology Assistants
Requirements:
  • Master's or Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Minimum one year clinical experience in dysphasia management and Speech Pathology
  • American Heart Association approved BLS required prior to first day of employment
  • Current State of California Speech Pathologist license required
