Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Huntington Park, California.

Job Summary:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide direct patient care to members with communication and swallowing disorders by evaluating, diagnosing, developing, and implementing therapy/treatment programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' communication and swallowing abilities and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Administer diagnostic tests and provide individualized treatment to adults and children for a variety of communication disorders, voice and swallowing impairment, and neurological defects.
  • Collaborate with physicians to recommend and implement appropriate treatments.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams and serve as a consultant on speech and language matters.
  • Develop and present in-service programs in areas of specialty.
  • Perform diagnostic clinical swallowing evaluations and interpret results.
  • Document patients' progress and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Masters or Doctorate Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • One year of clinical experience in dysphasia management and speech pathology.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist License (California) and Basic Life Support certification.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and utilize theories, principles, practices, techniques, and methods of speech therapy.
