The Chief People Officer position at Red Ventures, encompassing The Points Guy and Lonely Planet, calls for a distinctive combination of visionary leadership and practical execution. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the People function for The Points Guy and Lonely Planet, effectively harnessing the talent of the HRBP team to maximize business impact. Oversee all people-related strategies and the execution of the industry talent ecosystem in collaboration with business and other HR functions.
  • Act as an executive coach to business leaders, working closely to advise, influence, and shape individual and team culture.
  • Build, guide, and mentor a team of HR Business Partners, functional leads, and other team members across various HR domains: recruitment, performance management, talent development, etc.
  • Support your team in partnering with managers and staff to resolve employee relations issues and implement HR programs, policies, and initiatives.
  • Initiate and execute strategic initiatives and progressive Human Resource programs that enhance overall culture and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure exemplary HR practices for both exempt and nonexempt employees across multiple locations, primarily in collaboration with other HR leaders to influence the broader HR organization.
  • Review and assess disciplinary actions to guarantee consistent application of company policies and compliance with federal and state laws.
Qualifications:
  • Over 10 years of senior HR Business Partner experience with a focus on people leadership, business partnership, coaching, performance/talent management, and employee relations.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in coaching and advising employees at various levels, from front-line non-exempt staff to senior executives.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to effectively engage with all levels of management and staff.
  • Strong ability to influence, communicate, and build relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Solid understanding of human capital modules and experience with people analytics.
  • A highly motivated self-starter, adept at managing multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with minimal oversight.
Compensation:
  • Compensation Range: $200k-$300k*
    *Note that actual salary is determined by geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
