Position Overview
Join our dynamic team at Actalent as a Sustainability Software Engineer, where you will contribute to our mission of delivering innovative solutions in the Energy and Sustainability Services sector. Our team of skilled architects and developers is dedicated to harnessing advanced technologies to create sustainable outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
As a member of our team, you will:
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design, develop, and deploy software solutions that tackle energy and sustainability issues.
  • Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable Python code utilizing frameworks such as Pandas and FastAPI.
  • Create APIs and web services with FastAPI to enhance data-driven applications.
  • Work closely with data scientists and analysts to comprehend data needs and deliver effective solutions.
  • Analyze extensive datasets using Pandas to extract insights that inform strategic decisions.
  • Enhance code performance and scalability to meet client demands.
  • Implement best practices for data management and storage solutions.
  • Utilize DevOps tools and methodologies to ensure seamless application deployment and maintenance.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and processes through Python scripting.
  • Engage in code reviews to uphold coding standards and best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies relevant to sustainability and software development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficient in Python with experience in frameworks such as Pandas and FastAPI.

  • Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database systems.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, particularly Docker.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
