Location: Hybrid Louisville, CO 1x per week.

The Senior Software Engineer for Generative AI will play a key role in maintaining GHX's position at the forefront of Generative AI applications. This role will be responsible for applying modern GenAI models and deployment practices to the challenges GHX faces in assuring affordable quality healthcare for all.

This Senior Engineer will leverage internal and external machine learning and Generative AI capabilities combined with diverse internal and external data to produce key strategic goals. The role is responsible for building onto an existing foundation, improving current and building new GenAI solutions. They will join a team that is tasked with leading GHX through a transformational change and solidifying its role as the leader in AI in the Healthcare Supply Chain. Essential Duties:

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including users, developers, product managers, leadership, etc. to understand needs and challenges and translate these into solutions. Develop & support internal ChatGPT like solution backend capabilities including prompt engineering, RAG (chunking, relevancy, etc.), agentic, and fine-tuning. Proactively explore new techniques, emerging trends and drive adoption of new solutions. Develop and maintain software tools and libraries for generative AI models. Implement tools for evaluating and monitoring solution performance. Invent and deploy novel solutions as maintainable APIs to suit stakeholder needs. Develop custom models and algorithms utilizing internal and external data sets. Assess the effectiveness, accuracy, and limitations of solutions. Adhere to sound software engineering practices. Build and maintain scalable APIs in Python.

Competencies:

Solid foundational understanding and application of Computer Science principles. Familiar with all steps of SDLC and software development best practices. Excellent software engineering skills including unit testing, modular problem decomposition, multiple solution integration, etc. Fluent with scripting and query languages. Familiarity with data science and machine learning methods. Requires minimal to no supervision.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

3 - 5 years working as a software engineer or data scientist. High level of expertise with Python & SQL. Experience with LangChain, Autogen or similar framework. Experience with AWS cloud resources (S3, EC2, ECS, Lambda). Experience with Docker or other container services. Specification and creation of APIs and microservices. Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Computer Science or hard sciences Bachelors or Master's degree. Passion to stay on the cutting edge of Generative AI applications. Experience with multi-modal models.

Estimated Salary Range for this position: $127,000 to $164,500

The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the GHX's salary range for this position. The base salary is one component of GHX's total compensation package for employees.
