About This Role

The Senior Software Engineering Manager, Application Engineering is responsible for leading a team of skilled Application Engineers and QA resources to develop and maintain the award-winning software solutions we offer to our clients. Our Senior Managers are highly technical and willing to jump in to get the job done.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all day-to-day activities of the team, including project planning, resource allocation, and timeline management.
  • Conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and other People Operations responsibilities for all assigned team members.
  • Schedule projects and resources, and monitor project timelines to ensure successful delivery.
  • Motivate and guide team members to achieve team goals through counseling, performance reviews, mentoring, and team building activities.
  • Coach team members to develop into more senior and experienced resources.
  • Work closely with Business Product Owners to identify priorities for software development and enhancements, and acquire resources to meet current and future business needs.
  • Collaborate with other Managers within Technology and key stakeholders in related departments to drive business objectives.
  • Help establish, drive, and enhance processes and procedures within the team and Technology department.
  • Establish training offerings to support team members' growth and development.
  • Establish priorities for Lead Application Engineers and ensure they have guidance and coaching in mentoring other team members.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of.NET and SQL Server experience.
  • 3+ years' experience as a Technical Lead/Lead Engineer.
  • Unit Testing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Ability to work in both team and solo environments.
  • Experience building scalable software solutions.
  • Subject Matter Expertise in at least one technical track.
  • Ability to lead a team of 3+ members.
  • Able to plan and initiate multi-quarter projects with a full project team.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills

  • N-Tier and SaaS development experience.
  • Prior experience as a people leader.
