Community Support Specialist

Job SummaryThe Community Support Professional will provide one-to-one direct care to individuals with mental health disorders who have transitioned from nursing homes or hospitals. The successful candidate will implement recovery and individual skill-building programs, facilitate community integration, and promote natural support development.
Key Responsibilities- Implement recovery and individual skill-building programs
- Facilitate community integration and natural support development
- Provide one-to-one direct care to individuals with mental health disorders
- Assist with the implementation, training, and development of the DMHAS-generated Recovery Plan
- Supervise and train direct care providers on the recovery plan
- Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related specialty
- Pass the online training program for CSP and certification for the Recovery Assistant position
- Two years of related schooling and experience in mental health services or certification as a Peer Specialist
