Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Account Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the day-to-day relationship with stores in their territory, growing sales, increasing demos and displays, and maintaining excellent relationships with store management and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Present, sell, and execute all promotional activity at a store level or regional level.
  • Proactively recommend new items to customers to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
  • Develop new product presentations and execute item development plans.
  • Develop plans for item placement and off-shelf merchandising.
  • Develop strategies for sell-through on residual product.
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility and accountability for all business in assigned territory.
  • Assist in planning and executing demonstration events and programs.
  • Work with store level personnel on event details, including product education and execution.
  • Assist in planning and executing display programs.
  • Monitor shelf activity to ensure proper replenishment levels and meet store brand standards.
  • Ensure merchandising execution and plan-o-gram and order integrity.
  • Monitor activities with new store sets and wall-to-wall resets/remodels.
  • Coordinate reset activity at store level with assigned merchandising team.
  • Monitor set work for accuracy and on-time completion.
  • Execute shelf tag integrity.
  • Manage time effectively and meet personal goals.
  • Communicate with account managers on unexpected increases or decreases in demand, customer satisfaction, and issues.
  • Present a professional, trustworthy, and friendly image at all times.
  • Earn the trust and confidence of customers through a sincere and genuine spirit of putting forth their best interests first.
  • Present and complete store level surveys as needed.
  • Provide ongoing product education and expertise to consumers and store level personnel.
  • Coordinate and present educational seminars to store level personnel.
  • Seek continued product knowledge to become a specialty product expert.
  • Identify and communicate new customer opportunities, including KeHE Direct.
  • Monitor and communicate competitive activities and opportunities.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of strong sales performance in the grocery industry.
  • 2+ years of experience with specialty food.
