About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled AV Program Manager to join our team at HireSparks AV Recruiting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and delivering a growing portfolio of audiovisual projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage A/V projects from start to completion, including final invoicing and ensuring job plans and specifications are accurate, current, and complete.
  • Plan, schedule, and oversee engineering, programming, fabrication, installation, and subcontracting for large or complex system installation, integration, and service projects.
  • Collaborate with the engineering department during the project's design and drafting phases.
  • Manage the procurement and timely delivery of materials, supplies, and services to the job site.
  • Develop and manage the project installation plan, including preparation and implementation of job procedures.
  • Identify and implement necessary changes in design, contract price, installation plan, or other activities based on project reviews.
  • Maintain the project schedule and coordinate tasks with general contractors, project managers, and other trades.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Conduct site visits and participate in site measurements for shop drawings provided by others.
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • 35 years of experience and documented work history in the installation and integration of audiovisual, videoteleconference, broadcast, and IT systems.
  • 23 years of experience and documented work history in the project management of audiovisual, videoconference, broadcast, and IT systems.
  • Indepth knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Zoom video teleconferencing platforms.
  • Experience with the AV industry's leading product manufacturers, such as Cisco, Crestron, Polycom, QSC, Shure, Nanolumens, Yealink, and others.
  • Excellent subcontractor communication, coordination, and management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical employees and customers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • University graduate or equivalent experience with further studies in AV installation, data, or voice communications, or drafting.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in an electrical and/or communications environment.
  • Understanding of project management practices and customer service obligations.
  • Knowledge of electrical, electronic, communications, and computer products and equipment.
  • Proficiency in oral and written English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
  • Familiarity with building construction and blueprint reading.
  • Experience with the AV Commercial Integrator Navigate system, specifically for change orders and delay notices feedback to the Project Manager.
  • CTS-I Certification Preferred.
