Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting & Management Outsourcing Services (AMO) team on a part-time basis. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing timely and accurate weekly and biweekly payrolls, preparing quarterly/annual payroll tax returns and W-2s, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal governmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process payroll transactions, including new hires, terminations, and pay/benefit changes.
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax returns and W-2s.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including supplemental and off-cycle payrolls.
  • Manage 401k activities and interact with the 401k provider to ensure proper handling of employee payroll contributions, loan repayments, and contribution changes.
  • Establish strong relationships with clients by providing accurate and timely service.
  • Implement new regulations and policies, and changes to benefits, as applicable to payroll.
  • Recommend and implement efficiencies to improve payroll processing and employee satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in payroll processing.
  • Understanding of federal and state payroll tax regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • FPC or CPP certification preferred.
