About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Design Engineer to join our Critical Infrastructure team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and analyzing bridges of all sizes and scope, delivering structural designs or stability assessments for single span, multiple spans, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, precast concrete, and steel bridges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements, including defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
  • Design and analyze bridges, delivering structural designs or stability assessments for various types of bridges.
  • Perform detailed calculations, 3D models, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to junior engineers on design and other engineering activities as required.
  • Work with other disciplines (i.e., drainage, roadway, structural) to produce deliverables.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with MicroStation and InRoads and/or OpenRoads is required.
  • VA/MD/DC experience is highly desired.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
  • Must have at least 12 years or more experience with bridge design.
  • Candidate should be registered PE.
  • Roadway geometric design background required.
  • Experience with policies and procedures is preferred.
  • Experience on design-build projects is desirable.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills (written and verbal).
