About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join our team at Parsons Corporation. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in supporting various VDOT projects based out of our Centreville, VA office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and create engineering products that meet customer quality requirements, including defining problems, establishing work scope, preparing budgets and schedules, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting work status.
  • Perform detailed calculations, 3D models, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
  • Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (i.e. drainage, roadway, structural) to produce deliverables.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency with Microstation and InRoads and/or OpenRoads is required.
  • VA/MD/DC experience is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
  • Must have at least 6 years or more experience with road & highway design.
  • Registered PE required.
  • Roadway geometric design background required.
  • Experience with policies and procedures is preferred.
  • Experience on design-build projects is desirable.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills (written and verbal).
