Position Overview:

Job Title: Project Manager - FRTB

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 12 months (Possibility of extension)

Role Summary:

This position is integral to a central Program Management Team dedicated to ensuring the prompt delivery of project outcomes across multiple streams while leveraging subject matter expertise and industry knowledge.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in project management, coupled with a robust understanding of capital markets, enabling them to offer practical and sustainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:


• Collaborate with Program Initiative leaders to facilitate the execution of strategic objectives.


• Lead or engage in workshops and discussions with stakeholders to gather business requirements, outline project timelines, and manage deliverables.


• Provide subject matter expertise, offering guidance and constructive feedback on business initiatives to ensure alignment with overall program strategy.


• Ensure that all target state tools, processes, and controls are effectively communicated and approved by the appropriate governance bodies.


• Oversee internal and external dependencies across projects, working closely with Risk Managers, Product Owners, Front Office, Product Control, and Technology teams.


• Identify potential challenges and proactively address or escalate risks and issues to relevant stakeholders and project managers.


• Maintain continuous engagement with senior stakeholders, addressing and resolving issues as they arise.


• Create accurate and insightful project updates and materials tailored for various forums and committees.


• Foster strong relationships and a collaborative approach to support program execution.

Required Qualifications:


• Proven track record in strategic project management and delivering complex solutions.


• Significant experience in Capital Markets Transformation or similar Front Office roles.


• Familiarity with Market Risk, Finance, and Capital concepts.


• Extensive experience in scoping, developing, and prioritizing plans for strategic initiatives.


• Exceptional oral and written communication skills; must be articulate and persuasive with the ability to provide insightful commentary to senior stakeholders.


• Strong understanding of performance tracking and communication mechanisms.


• Ability to drive change in business practices through effective collaboration across a global organization.


• Thought leadership in target state design through stakeholder engagement at various organizational levels.


• Demonstrated analytical skills with a strong problem-solving capability.


• 6+ years of relevant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience managing projects related to Capital Markets, Market Risk, and Regulatory compliance.


• Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.


• Project Management certifications such as PMP or equivalent are highly desirable.
