Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Benefits Coordinator to enhance our employee support and benefits offerings. This role will play a crucial part in onboarding employees into our benefits programs and managing the Open Enrollment process. The responsibilities include overseeing the administration of Collectors' Health & Welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, fertility, and other assorted benefits, along with our 401(k) plan and leave of absence management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, life and AD&D, STD/LTD, 401(k), fertility, and additional voluntary benefits.
  • Oversee all leave of absence programs, including FMLA, CFRA, and Parental Leave, while collaborating with the Benefits Manager and HR Business Partners on complex cases and ADA accommodations.
  • Facilitate strong communication and collaboration with various business units, including leadership, peers, employees, and vendors.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to employees regarding all benefits and leave of absence inquiries.
  • Effectively communicate and escalate complex benefits and leave of absence issues to the Benefits Manager or vendors as necessary.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, conducting audits, and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Participate in team and vendor meetings, contributing insights and suggestions.
  • Enhance existing benefit documentation and processes to align with new procedures.
  • Create ad-hoc documents and spreadsheets to improve procedures and audit complex benefits/leave of absence issues.
  • Coordinate and assist with the execution of the annual Open Enrollment.
  • Support the ongoing development and enhancement of existing and emerging benefits.
Qualifications:
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in Benefits administration, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and auditing skills.
  • Analytical problem solver with a passion for working with data and developing solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across departments, including leadership, employees, Benefits Brokers, third-party administrators, and auditors.
  • Employee-focused mindset with a commitment to helping employees understand and utilize our benefits.
  • Demonstrates discretion, judgment, and confidentiality.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently to meet deadlines.
  • Adept at identifying processes and documentation that require enhancements for optimization.
  • Enjoys a collaborative work environment and values partnerships with peers, leaders, and vendors to improve benefit offerings.
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and Workday is a plus, or a willingness to learn these systems.
Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position is $20 - $26.50, with actual compensation based on various non-discriminatory factors, including location, job level, prior experience, and skill set.
