Position Overview:
The Regional Sales Executive (RSE) is responsible for overseeing a designated sales area, directing sales initiatives, representative actions, competitive intelligence, and customer interactions within that territory. The RSE formulates strategies aimed at achieving or surpassing sales targets while effectively communicating regional activities to relevant personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage sales forecasts, budgets, and expenditures.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets for a specific geographic area.
- Utilize effective time management and planning skills to engage with customers.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on customer and competitive activities.
- Identify market opportunities and diligently pursue them to convert into new sales.
- Develop strategies to enhance existing products.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers at customer locations.
- Collaborate closely with marketing to understand customer needs and define product/service offerings.
- Mobilize necessary resources to maximize the potential for successful new business trials.
- Implement pricing strategies and negotiations as guided by national sales leadership.
- Represent the company's values, products, services, and capabilities professionally.
- Adhere to pricing policies to ensure optimal margins.
- Maintain an active understanding of customers, contacts, and their status in the sales process.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Comply with corporate safety policies.
- Follow the guidelines outlined in the Company Vehicle Use Policy.
- Prepare reports, business correspondence, and sales presentations for executive staff.
- Assist in other areas or perform additional duties as required by changing business needs.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred, along with five or more years of sales experience; alternatively, 10+ years of experience in the medical, electronics, or defense sectors with applications development experience may be considered. A valid driver's license is required, and a U.S. passport may be necessary for international travel.
