Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Investigator II to join our team at United Automobile Insurance Company. As a key member of our Special Investigations Unit (SIU), you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations to detect and prevent auto insurance fraud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field and desk investigations to identify and prevent staged auto accidents, fraud rings, and questionable medical treatment.
  • Provide investigative expertise to limit exposure and protect company assets.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement, medical professionals, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and submit comprehensive investigation reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify and prevent fraudulent activities.
  • Mentor and train less experienced investigators to promote teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field or 5 years of related work experience.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) and knowledge of current procedural terminology.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends.
  • In-depth knowledge of applicable fraud statutes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Expert knowledge of medical claims processing and investigations, a strong plus.
