Job Overview:

This role is designed for a seasoned Environmental Engineer to oversee and guide a team of engineers and scientists with varying levels of expertise. The position entails responsibility for business expansion and the management of intricate environmental remediation initiatives in the Tampa Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret subsurface field and sampling data, including soil and groundwater, to draw conclusions regarding environmental and geological site conditions.
- Create subsurface maps and cross-sections while collaborating with engineering and environmental science teams on various projects.
- Supervise field monitoring and testing of soils, including boring investigations and soil classification.
- Interpret data related to soil, bedrock, and groundwater elevation and quality.
- Prepare comprehensive plans and reports concerning site investigations, assessments, and remediation efforts. Projects may encompass well design and sampling, environmental assessments (Phase I/II), and soil/water remediation plan design.

Essential Duties:
- Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and standards across all projects. Engage in pre-task planning and report any safety concerns to management.
- Ensure quality standards are upheld on all assignments.
- Conduct site testing and provide recommendations for system designs on medium-sized projects of varying complexity.
- Collaborate with senior staff on larger, more complex projects.

- Execute site visits, field observations, and data collection tasks.
- Implement technical requirements to fulfill client projects by directing and supervising field staff in sampling, testing, and data collection activities.

- Responsible for crafting written proposals for clients for both small and large-scale projects, including quality control reviews of proposals prepared by others.

- Demonstrate expertise in developing Site Assessment Reports, Remedial Action Plans, and other regulatory documents in accordance with relevant cleanup regulations.

- Evaluate complex laboratory and field data and compile it into detailed reports.
- May serve as a team member or lead in client meetings regarding specific projects or tasks.
- Oversee the work performed by junior Geologists/Engineers.

Management Responsibilities:
- Directly manage a team of staff engineers and scientists.
- Oversee the Site Investigation and Remediation group, ensuring the group's financial performance and client development activities.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation is required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
