About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Director to join our team at Staples, Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of business development and sales strategies to drive growth and revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise sales strategy to win high-revenue prospects and drive business growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with C-Level executives and Fortune 500 prospects to negotiate complex sales and business development cycles.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver presentations, proposals, and sales strategies to senior-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Manage and analyze sales data and market trends to inform business decisions and drive revenue growth.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to ensure Staples remains competitive and innovative.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing large complex customers.
  • Strong business acumen, financial analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
