Job Summary

POWER Engineers is seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Engineer to join our Power Delivery Line Department in Mount Laurel, NJ. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing your career as a Transmission Line Engineer and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of transmission line projects
  • Collaborate with senior-level engineers to provide technical guidance and expertise
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control documentation
  • Develop project design criteria and schedules
  • Perform wire selection and load analysis
  • Model transmission lines using PLS-CADD
  • Design and procure structures and foundations
  • Develop construction specifications and drawings
  • Provide construction support and field visits
  • Continuously develop technical skills through in-house and external industry conferences
  • Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and client representatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) registration
  • Strong command of the English language with excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Coursework in AutoCAD, structural analysis, concrete design, steel design, soil mechanics, foundation design, and surveying
  • Previous engineering design or drafting work experience, especially in civil and/or structural engineering
