- Ensure the safe functionality of all machinery while optimizing wiring and programming to meet operational standards.
- Assist maintenance teams during critical downtime and aid in the training of technical staff.
- Guarantee that enhancements in processes comply with manufacturing standards.
- Promote 5S methodologies and uphold a clean and organized workspace.
- Engage in committees or task forces aimed at improving plant efficiency.
- Maintain production excellence across all performance metrics as a leading manufacturer of metal components and assemblies.
- Design a remote Performance Management System to track machinery performance and pinpoint process inefficiencies.
- Apply PLC programming to boost operational efficiencies across various systems.
- Incorporate motivational prompts in HMI interfaces to raise operator awareness and minimize machine idle time.
- Provide expertise as a PLC Programming Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentor for engineering and maintenance personnel.
- Oversee new product launches and Engineering Change Requests as Project Lead.
- Conduct inspections for tool shop contract work to ensure adherence to programming protocols.
- Evaluate PLC programming to discover potential cost-saving and efficiency enhancement opportunities.
- Support production in achieving quality standards, efficiency targets, and safety compliance.
- Comply with all safety protocols and engage in ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Utilize PLC programming skills, monitor equipment performance, implement new technologies, and refine control systems for better cycle times.
- Familiarity with Microsoft, Studio 5000, RS Linx, C-more EA 9, COHERIX, Power Flex, Panel View, Bosch 6000, IPG Laser Net, and RLSK Studio is essential.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Controls Engineer role or a similar position.
