Position Title: Lead Program Scheduler, Senior Specialist

Job Overview:

L3Harris is seeking a skilled Program Scheduler to join our Program Master Planning Department. This role is pivotal in supporting the Program Management Teams, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of Program Life cycles.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop intricate program schedules, ensuring effective resource allocation and conducting Earned Value Analysis.
  • Contribute to the establishment of standardized tools and methodologies for Program Planning and Scheduling across the organization.
  • Collaborate with various program teams to create and maintain Integrated Master Schedules, incorporating essential phases, contract requirements, and resource loading.
  • Conduct regular assessments of program schedules to determine resource needs and ensure alignment across all projects.
  • Assist in schedule audits to verify proper maintenance and updates by project teams.
  • Analyze subcontractor schedules, linking them to the main project schedule and identifying critical paths and milestone achievements.
  • Engage with Control Account Managers and Integrated Product Team members to develop and analyze work package schedules.
  • Gather and assess data from relevant organizations to prepare and disseminate project status reports.
  • Perform audits on schedules to identify variances and support corrective actions to enhance scheduling processes.
  • Work collaboratively within a team to share insights on scheduling trends and best practices.
  • Conduct Monte Carlo Schedule Risk Assessments on key programs as part of standard procedures.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience. Alternatively, candidates with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience without a degree will be considered.


Preferred Skills:
  • Proven experience in Project Scheduling and control, primarily using MS Project.
  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management practices and Production Scheduling.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining organization.
  • Background in engineering and operations within the Aerospace & Defense sector is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes and risk management concepts related to master schedules.
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams in both support and mentoring roles.
  • Familiarity with DoD EVMS Guidelines and Integrated Program Management Reports is advantageous.
  • Proficient in using various software applications, including Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and Microsoft Project.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
