Position Overview:
L3Harris is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineering Lead to provide comprehensive lifecycle support for an innovative semiconductor development initiative. This role involves overseeing various subcontractors to ensure the successful execution of project tasks while adhering to customer specifications, budgetary constraints, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate the financial, scheduling, and technical components of engineering projects in collaboration with subcontractors, following the guidelines established by the Program Manager and client.
- Monitor the progress of subcontractor projects, managing timelines and preparing detailed status updates.
- Identify engineering challenges and formulate effective solutions to enhance productivity, quality, and client satisfaction.
- Recognize, track, and mitigate program-level risks to ensure project success.
- Estimate the necessary resources and materials required for project completion.
- Facilitate communication between resource managers and ensure all essential reviews and approvals are obtained.
- Coordinate with technical and supply chain teams to guarantee timely acquisition of materials and subcontracted services.
- Engage in diverse team activities and undertake a variety of responsibilities.
- Foster and maintain long-term, positive relationships with subcontractors.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years of related experience. Alternatively, 13 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.
- Proficient in Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Demonstrated expertise in project engineering best practices and program execution across multiple disciplines and locations.
- Must possess or be able to obtain an Active TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in semiconductor technology.
- Familiarity with photolithography, PVD, PECVD, AFM, CSAM, confocal microscopy, and liftoff techniques, as well as wafer-level layout.
- Proven track record of managing projects with budgets exceeding $40 million.
- Experience in Technical Supplier Management and Risk and Opportunity Management.
- STEM Degree is preferred.
- Active Secret or TS/SCI security clearance is advantageous.
- Experience leading Government Contract development initiatives.
- Knowledge of the Government contract acquisition lifecycle.
- Experience managing design-to-cost activities.
- Involvement in program pursuit and proposal efforts.
- Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action processes and methodologies.
