Accounting Payroll Specialist Opportunity

Accentuate Staffing is recruiting for an Accounting Payroll Specialist for one of our clients in Raleigh, NC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete journal entries and Excel files related to banking and payroll.
  • Retrieve daily bank activity and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare month-end journal entries for the main corporation.
  • Process payroll for staff, including pre- and post-payroll tasks.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly payroll reports.
  • Compile and review monthly Accounts Receivable reports detailing physician productivity.
  • Prepare bank deposits and maintain related Excel documentation.
  • Process returned checks according to company protocols.
  • Maintain and update documentation for all processes used in this position.
  • Prepare Sales and Use Tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with state tax laws through Escheat data completion.
  • Serve as a back-up for the Accounts Payable Specialist as needed.
  • Perform additional accounting and payroll tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 10 years of general accounting and payroll experience, or 3-5 years of general accounting/accounts payable experience, plus 5 years of payroll experience
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Experience with payroll and accounting software
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel & QuickBooks
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
