Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
- Oversee the functionality of brine wells, boilers, generators, evaporators, and dryers.
- Manage the operating and capital budgets for the production department, focusing on cost efficiency, quality, and production volume.
- Supervise shift supervisors within the production department.
- Ensure reliability of equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with other departments to achieve plant objectives.
- Lead initiatives for production and maintenance coordination.
- Drive enhancements in efficiency and processes.
- Undertake special project assignments as necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the capital budgeting process for the production department and oversee the management of the operating budget, including labor, materials, and repairs.
- Establish and ensure the achievement of all department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and manage the shift schedule for 24/7 supervisors.
- Monitor and analyze departmental activities, focusing on operating data, preventative maintenance, and adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain the safety, quality, and legality of all products while ensuring compliance among employees.
- Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety standards.
- Manage the planning, operation, maintenance, and regulatory reporting of brine wells.
- Perform additional related duties as required.
Operational Performance:
- Focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
People Management and Development:
- Encourage transparent communication and foster team collaboration.
- Cultivate a culture centered on problem-solving and process enhancement.
- Promote positive workforce engagement.
- Facilitate performance management and employee development initiatives.
- Address employee and labor relations issues in collaboration with human resources as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- Required:
- 8 years of experience in production, technical, or maintenance management.
- 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred:
- 5 years of management experience.
- In-depth process and technical knowledge necessary for the operation of boilers, evaporators, dryers, generators, and brine wells.
