Radiology Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Department Manager to lead our Imaging Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, hiring, training, and evaluating the performance of our support staff, as well as planning, directing, and supervising all technical aspects of the imaging department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to Imaging Services team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
- Develop, communicate, and build consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
- Maintain services in accordance with the standards established by the department, The Joint Commission, state, local, and federal regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with service engineer preventive maintenance, repair, and documentation.
- Mediate individual problems and refer to leadership unresolved problems, relating to staffing, morale, scheduling, work matters, procedures.
- Represent department in administrative conferences, as required.
- Assist in the preparation of annual operating budget; implement and monitor operating budget; provide input to budgeting related to regional radiology services.
- Manage and implement appropriate data collection of information needed to monitor clinical, operational, and financial outcomes, as well as department QA/QC standards; coordinate quality control program.
- Coordinate continuing education program for the technical staff within area(s) of responsibility.
- Select, develop, manage, and evaluate staff; ensure performance appraisals are completed in a timely fashion; counsel employees, discipline, and implement progressive discipline, and changes in personnel status.
- Collaborate with leadership in developing and implementing programs for scheduling patients and coordination of schedules among all diagnostic imaging divisions.
- Interface with patient, staff, and physicians both within and external to the department to facilitate the improvement of the patient experience.
- Work to improve Press Ganey Scores via patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Bachelor's Degree required in radiologic technology or related field, or comparable experience.
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine, or Ultrasound Technology program, required.
- Current license to practice as a Radiologist in New York State, and Current Radiology Technologist Certification in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
- 5-7 years of technical experience and 2-5 years of leadership/management experience, required.
