Essential Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential, alongside a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of applicable experience.

Security Clearance Requirements: Candidates must obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable timeframe. U.S. citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities

As an Advanced Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to resolving production challenges and ensuring commitments are met.
Your expertise will be utilized in developing, implementing, and maintaining operational methods and processes for the manufacturing of various components and assemblies.

You will be responsible for creating engineering tools, strategies, and layouts for both new and existing products. This includes drafting procedural documentation to support the implementation and upkeep of methods and equipment calibration.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience
  • Strong analytical skills to assess and report on manufacturing engineering designs
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing systems and engineering applications
  • Proficiency in manufacturing engineering principles and practices
  • Excellent communication abilities and proficiency in MS Office and CAD software
  • Experience with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or collaboratively
  • Attention to detail and the ability to identify potential risks in processes
  • Knowledge of T9001B standards and experience with ERP tools is preferred
Job Summary:

Collaborate with fellow engineers to enhance manufacturing performance, facilitate the transition of new products into production, and support the diagnosis and resolution of product issues. You will maximize efficiency by analyzing layouts, workflows, and resource utilization.

Key tasks include:
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards
  • Providing technical support on the production floor and leading analysis meetings for material disposition and corrective actions
  • Overseeing the selection and validation of manufacturing equipment
  • Developing and updating manufacturing processes and documentation
  • Supporting the validation of processes and equipment qualifications
  • Engaging in early-stage production readiness activities to ensure a controlled environment
  • Analyzing new designs for manufacturability and collaborating on product improvements
