Position Summary:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing a comprehensive infrastructure of both on-site and remote system assets. This role guarantees operational efficiency through maintenance, configuration, and ensuring maximum uptime for both workstations and servers. The Systems Administrator will investigate emerging technologies to implement best practices in cybersecurity and automation.

This position operates independently with minimal supervision, providing updates on significant activities during scheduled meetings.

Qualifications:

Educational Background: Minimum of 2 years of formal computer education or equivalent experience in a computer-related role.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years working with server hardware, software, networking, and Microsoft 365/Office 365.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Must possess a valid Texas Driver's license and auto liability insurance.
  • Successful completion of criminal history and background checks, along with a pre-employment drug screening, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze system logs to identify potential issues with computer systems and servers.
  • Document system configurations as necessary.
  • Apply updates, patches, and configuration changes to operating systems. Responsible for performance tuning and troubleshooting.
  • Install, configure, and maintain server software, including security measures and connectivity solutions.
  • Ensure system security and track any suspected cybersecurity incidents.
  • Configure and troubleshoot cloud-based solutions.
  • Create and manage internal user accounts and cloud-based services.
  • Provide technical support for clinical staff and assist with electronic health record systems.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain documentation of system processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Participate in training and development as required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in Windows operating systems and server management.
  • Knowledge of network installation and management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with legal standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform light lifting and carrying.
  • Proficient in operating office and mechanical equipment.
  • Must be able to drive and travel as needed.
