Job Overview

Position Title:
Security Operations Officer

Reports To: The Customer and Project Manager

Clearance Requirement:
Active Top Secret with eligibility for SCI and CI Polygraph

Work Environment: JBAB, Washington D.C.

Role Summary:

Advantage SCI is in search of dedicated Security Operations Officers for full-time roles. The selected candidates will deliver exceptional customer service, offering guidance and support to both clients and external agency representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing outgoing clearance certification communications.
  • Handling incoming visit certifications and verifying SCI access for visitors.
  • Executing various badging operations and maintaining personnel security databases.
  • Coordinating and conducting SCI indoctrinations and debriefings, along with document uploads.
  • Processing requests for Personal Electronic Devices (PED) and systems access.
  • Conducting badging activities, including the issuance of identification badges and, in certain cases, CACs.
  • Submitting outgoing clearance requests.
  • Processing systems access applications.
  • Responding to numerous inquiries regarding status updates and routine security matters.
  • Identifying personnel needing updates on their polygraphs and investigations.
  • Training part-time unit security personnel on the use of security databases and tools; performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in security operations.
  • Must hold a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI and successfully complete CI Polygraph.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels and with clients across various locations.
  • Experience with DIA is advantageous.
  • Must possess a valid certification in PII and Cyber Awareness Challenge from Information Assurance Support Environment (valid within 30 days of hire).

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capability to stoop, kneel, bend, and reach.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds.
