About the Role

As the Accessibility Lead for our Federal government client, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the inclusivity and accessibility of our digital products and services. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee and guarantee that all deliverables meet the stringent accessibility standards outlined in the contract. Collaborating closely with various delivery teams, you will champion accessibility initiatives, providing guidance and expertise to ensure compliance with accessibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establishing processes for the proper analysis, testing, and remediation of electronic documents and web applications for compliance with accessibility requirements.
  • Ensuring the preparation of accurate Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACR) or Voluntary Accessibility Product Templates (VPAT) that would demonstrate the degree of accessibility of applicable deliverables.
  • Establishing processes for collecting feedback on Accessibility issues of the provided products and services and creating standard operating procedures to generate actionable items for internal remediation or escalation to external vendors.
  • Ensuring the accessibility and inclusiveness of customer experience to all end-users regardless of disability or assistive technology.
  • Ensuring that Accessibility is integrated throughout the agile development and delivery processes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Accessibility/508 compliance for a government agency.
  • One or more of the following certifications:
    • Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC)
    • Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA)
    • DHS Trusted Tester Program V5
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Proven experience in the management, support, and implementation of an Accessibility/508 compliance program for a government agency or similar role.
  • US citizenship and the ability to pass public trust clearance or suitability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting the Government Accountability Office (GAO)
