Our team is dedicated to delivering MEP design and AEC services, as well as consulting expertise in the Data Center / Mission Critical Facilities Space.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Design Architect to join our team. As a key member of our data center practice, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of project document development, including data center design planning, design development, and documentation. You will work closely with our MEP design engineering team and project managers to lead cross-functional design disciplines and maintain the quality of work products within established project schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data center design plans, ensuring reliability, energy efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with project teams to coordinate design disciplines and develop technical solutions.
  • Lead the architectural layout of entire buildings and infrastructure, including power, cooling, ventilation, redundancy, and security.
  • Ensure compliance with professional practice standards from schematic design through project close-out.
  • Produce high-quality drawings and lead project teams in adherence to practice standards.
  • Supervise design and technical development of projects, working directly with project managers and designers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Requirements

  • Registered Architect (RA) with a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Design.
  • Five or more years of experience as a Project Architect working on data center projects.
  • Proficient in REVIT, 3D/BIM modeling, and CAD computer modeling and rendering software.
  • Ability to perform extensive field walking tours and visit client facilities throughout the NY Metro Area.
  • Ability to support work in other offices, including occasional travel.
  • Knowledge of DSA policies and active involvement in the AIA is a plus.
