Role Overview

The Systems Engineer/Technology Governance position involves providing expert System Engineering and Technical Systems (SETA) support to the sponsor, contributing to a comprehensive technical policy and governance framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and present reports and briefings that clearly articulate complex programs and systems to support technology governance.
  • Assess, document, and manage stakeholder expectations in alignment with the sponsor's objectives.
  • Collaborate with sponsor management to refine or establish processes that facilitate the execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Support the sponsor in evaluating, documenting, and monitoring program requirements, as well as organizing follow-on technical exchange meetings (TEMs).
  • Draft and maintain essential correspondence documents, including operational procedures and internal memos.
  • Work autonomously and collaboratively within a team, overcoming obstacles to deliver timely results or recommend the most pertinent course of action.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience; additional four years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a systems engineering role or similar capacity with the sponsor.
  • Proven track record of supporting the sponsor effectively.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in developing technical requirements and conducting thorough technical reviews of documentation.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to operate independently or as part of a collaborative team.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Visio.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in cable writing.
  • Certifications in Project Management or Systems Engineering.

Salary Range

The typical salary range for this position is $146,000 - $234,000, reflecting the experience and qualifications of the candidate.
