Pipelayer - Heavy Civil Construction Specialist

Job Summary: Kokosing is seeking a skilled Pipelayer to join our team of heavy civil construction specialists. As a Pipelayer, you will be responsible for laying and joining pipes for sewers, water mains, and storm drains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Laying and Joining Pipes: Align pipes in pipeline sections according to specifications, dig trenches with trenching tools, and set pipes into trenches.
  • Signal and Assist: Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of pipes, and assist others with hands-on work.
  • Quality Control: Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels, and cover pipe with dirt or other material.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Two to three years of related experience and/or training preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
