Core Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for business development while fostering positive client relationships to encourage future engagements.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates, including quantity take-offs and pricing analysis.
  • Engage in bid solicitation, preparation of bid packages, and thorough analysis.
  • Assist in the administration of general contracts and subcontracts.
  • Prepare necessary permit applications.
  • Maintain up-to-date construction documentation, including as-built drawings.
  • Manage and process shop drawings and submittals efficiently.
  • Coordinate the procurement and expediting of materials and equipment.
  • Facilitate the Request for Information (RFI) process.
  • Document and distribute notes from project coordination meetings.
  • Monitor project schedules to ensure compliance with critical deadlines.
  • Initiate, review, and negotiate change orders as needed.
  • Oversee the entire project close-out process, including the creation and completion of punch lists.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, architectural, or construction), construction management, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of experience in the construction sector.
  • Willingness to travel or temporarily relocate for job assignments.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Capability to analyze and resolve complex challenges, offering alternative solutions.
  • Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Key success factors include a passion for the industry, self-motivation, a strong work ethic, effective time management, organization, attention to detail, and creativity.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without requiring work authorization sponsorship from the company.

Working Conditions:

The role of the Construction Project Coordinator is primarily conducted indoors, either in a main office or field office at the construction site, with occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions. There may be exposure to health or safety hazards, including moderate to loud noise levels.

Light physical effort is required, including handling objects up to 25 pounds and engaging in standing, walking, sitting, talking, and/or hearing activities. The construction site environment may vary, and the position may necessitate travel.

The work environment is demanding and fast-paced, with the number of hours typically exceeding 40 hours per week, often requiring on-call availability.

This position entails a high level of autonomy regarding decision-making that impacts company outcomes.
