Job Title: Financial Reporting Analyst

Job Overview:

As a Financial Reporting Analyst, you will enhance your expertise in accounting, delve into both current and emerging SSAP and GAAP standards, and ascertain the correct accounting treatment. Your responsibilities will include the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for management and regulatory purposes, involvement in the monthly closing process, and conducting variance analysis. You will also be tasked with optimizing existing workflows and fostering efficiencies.

Work Arrangement:

This role supports a hybrid work model and is primarily based in our corporate offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the timely and precise completion of internal and external financial statements along with associated schedules for reporting entities.
  • Develop and maintain queries and worksheets to facilitate the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses.
  • Implement necessary changes to adhere to regulatory standards and remain informed about updates in accounting guidance, trends, techniques, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with various departments and divisions on accounting matters.
  • Complete timely and accurate state filings.

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and pivot tables. Familiarity with Workday is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work autonomously, conduct analyses, and resolve issues.
  • Capacity to research and apply accounting standards.
  • Previous experience in regulatory reporting is a plus.
  • A degree in accounting and CPA designation are preferred, though not essential.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training.
