Position Overview:
The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for overseeing the customs brokerage process, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and facilitating the importation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage daily with customs brokers and internal departments to ensure efficient and accurate customs clearance for imports.
  • Assist in the classification of imported products under the harmonized tariff schedule (HTS), maintaining the integrity of the HS import database.
  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and strategic planning efforts aligned with the goals of Colony Brands.
  • Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to promote awareness and adherence to compliance protocols.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred, with a keen interest in international trade and compliance.
  • Relevant experience in business or internships is advantageous.
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on process improvement, capable of managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic, initiative, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Certification as a Customs Specialist is preferred or willingness to obtain within two years.

This role requires on-site presence at the company headquarters.
