We are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the customs brokerage process by managing daily trade compliance activities.


Your role will involve close collaboration with customs brokers to ensure accurate declaration of import entry data to U.S. Customs, focusing on valuation, classification, trade program verification, and compliance with all relevant government regulations.

As a Trade Compliance Specialist, you will be instrumental in upholding high standards of compliance.


Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Regular interaction with customs brokers and internal departments to facilitate timely and precise import customs clearance.
  • Shared responsibility for determining harmonized tariff schedule (HS) classifications for imported products across various business units, including upkeep of the HS import database.
  • Engagement in cost-saving initiatives and strategic planning to align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to foster awareness and partnerships regarding compliance activities.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field, with a strong interest in international business and trade compliance.
  • Relevant business or internship experience.
  • Project management skills with a focus on process improvement, demonstrating the ability to prioritize and advance multiple initiatives effectively.
  • A strong work ethic, initiative, decision-making capabilities, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Certification as a Customs Specialist is preferred, or willingness to obtain within two years.
  • This position requires on-site work at our headquarters.
