Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems USA. The successful candidate will provide technical support for software and hardware installs, hardware moves, and hardware/software changes for the end-user community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of MS Windows operating systems, troubleshooting skills for applications running on MS Windows-based platforms, and experience with Microsoft Active Directory.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing on-site technical support for software and hardware installs, hardware moves, and hardware/software changes
  • Supporting break/fix issues, general requests, operating system patch remediation, and PC refresh based on company lifecycle standards
  • Providing basic desk VoIP telephone support and mobile device support for iPhone, iPad, and Droid devices
  • Resolving printer issues, including toner replacement, paper jams, and printer maintenance
  • Updating asset inventory via ticketing system database
  • Working knowledge and experience with Active Directory
  • Utilizing Remote application software to provide service to both on-site and off-site users
  • May provide minor training to customer support personnel
  • Patching support for lab standalone systems

Requirements include:

  • Proficient in MS Office products, including M365
  • Proficient with a variety of MS operating systems, including Win11 and Win10
  • Troubleshooting skills for applications running on MS Windows-based platforms
  • Basic understanding of networks
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory
  • Knowledge in Asset Management
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills – oral and written
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Adheres to standards as defined in Standard Operating Procedures

Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Service Now and an Associate's degree.
