Safety and Security Officer:

Position Overview:


The Safety and Security Officer is tasked with ensuring the protection and safety of patrons, staff, and assets within the facilities managed by ASM Global.

This role requires the individual to embody the values of the Security Department, fostering positive relationships with colleagues across various departments, engaging in departmental and organizational meetings, and upholding confidentiality regarding patrons, employees, and company information.


Key Responsibilities:


• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both on foot and via golf cart, to maintain security of the interior and exterior areas.
• Respond promptly to the fire control center to identify, acknowledge, and silence alarms. Assess the signal area, report findings, and reset alarms as necessary. Implement fire safety protocols and evacuations when required.
• Address all safety and security incidents with professionalism and efficiency. Interact courteously with patrons, vendors, and employees of ASM Global.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all activities, movements, and repairs in the appropriate logs, ensuring that all incidents are thoroughly recorded.


Qualifications Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in a security role.
• Proficient communication skills in English.
• Familiarity with legal regulations and relevant penal codes, such as loitering and skateboarding ordinances.
• Ability to represent the Security Department with professionalism.
• Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relations with staff and management across departments.
• Capacity to perform effectively in high-pressure situations without losing composure.
• Demonstrated maturity in decision-making and sound judgment.
• Capability to memorize, recall, and swiftly retrieve pertinent information.
• Skilled in managing interactions with upset or emotional patrons and employees during challenging situations.
• Participation in all departmental and company-wide meetings is expected.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality regarding patrons, employees, and company matters.

• Applicants must possess a valid California Guard Card or Proprietary Security Officer (PSO) Card, or be willing to obtain one prior to employment.

• Availability to work weekends as needed is essential.
