Maintenance and Safety Coordinator

Position Summary: We are looking for a dependable and adaptable individual to take on the role of Maintenance and Security Officer. This dual-function position is essential for maintaining the safety, security, and efficient operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded skill set that includes maintenance, security, and customer service expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Duties:

  • Carry out routine maintenance activities, including plumbing, electrical work, painting, and carpentry.
  • Perform regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
  • Respond efficiently to maintenance requests from staff or tenants.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and structural issues as they arise.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of workspaces, storage areas, and common facilities.
  • Assist with the setup and dismantling of equipment for events or special initiatives.

Security Duties:

  • Conduct patrols of designated areas to ensure the safety and security of the property.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and alarms to identify and respond to potential security threats.
  • Implement company policies and procedures to uphold a secure environment for employees, tenants, and visitors.
  • React to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical situations, or security breaches, and take necessary actions.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by assisting tenants and visitors with inquiries and directions.
  • Document security incidents, maintenance activities, and daily operations in detailed reports.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance and security roles.
  • Solid understanding of basic repair techniques and tools.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in maintenance or security are advantageous.
