Job Overview

The Injection Molding Process Expert plays a pivotal role in establishing and optimizing injection molding operations to ensure the production of superior quality molded components. This position is integral to managing the molding activities during the initiation of new projects, refining manufacturing methodologies, and facilitating problem resolution alongside ongoing enhancements in processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operational readiness of injection molding machinery and associated processes.
  • Set up molding tools and execute setup parameters efficiently.
  • Guarantee compliance with quality standards while continuously optimizing machine processes.
  • Exhibit proficiency in starting, operating, and shutting down molding-related equipment.
  • Assist in the introduction of innovative injection molding techniques and machinery.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for injection molding machines and their auxiliary systems.
  • Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on molding machines and related equipment independently.
  • Collaborate with equipment and material suppliers to address machine and equipment challenges.
  • Monitor and document issues related to injection molds.
  • Develop and implement strategies for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Provide training and mentorship to molding staff.

Maintain high-quality standards through active engagement with team members to ensure precision and quality at every stage of production. Offer technical guidance and support to operators and other molding staff.


Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an injection molding manufacturing setting.
  • Education: Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Expertise in thermoplastics processing, robotics, automation, and hot runner systems.
    • Comprehensive technical knowledge in injection molding processes, tooling, equipment, materials, and quality assurance.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
    • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
    • Able to thrive in a dynamic and interruption-prone environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
