We are seeking an Injection Molding Technician to become part of our team at medmix Healthcare US Inc.. This role will be based at our newly established site in Flowery Branch, Georgia, USA. This exciting position will enable you to leverage your expertise to pinpoint areas for enhancement and propose actionable recommendations to management. You will spearhead the execution of these recommendations and evaluate their impact on the organization. Position Overview
Role Objective
The Injection Molding Technician is a hands-on role responsible for establishing injection molding procedures to manufacture high-quality molded products. This position entails coordinating molding activities for new program launches, configuring and/or updating manufacturing processes, and assisting in troubleshooting and ongoing process enhancements. Additionally, this role includes mentoring and training other injection molding staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure operational readiness of injection molding machines and associated processes.
- Set up molding tools and execute setup parameters effectively.
- Guarantee compliance with quality specifications and optimize ongoing machine processes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in starting, operating, and shutting down molding process equipment.
- Assist in the implementation of new injection molding processes and machinery.
- Support troubleshooting efforts for injection molding machines and related processes.
- Conduct minor repairs and maintenance on molding machines and accessories independently.
- Collaborate with equipment and material suppliers to resolve machine and equipment challenges.
- Monitor and report issues concerning injection molds.
- Develop and implement process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
- Train personnel on molding processes.
- Maintain high quality standards through direct engagement with employees to ensure accuracy and quality at every production stage.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to operators and other molding staff.
- Keep machines and the production environment organized and clean.
- Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations, as well as adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Uphold compliance with environmental protection, fire prevention, and occupational health and safety regulations.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an injection molding manufacturing setting.
Education: Technical degree and/or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience with thermoplastics processing, robotics, automation, and hot runner systems.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge in injection molding processing, tooling, equipment, materials, manufacturing, and quality assurance.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Aptitude for working in a dynamic environment with frequent interruptions.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Team-oriented mindset is essential.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality.
